AGCS Students Write 370 Letters in Anmesty International's Write for Rights Campaign
Our Amnesty International Clubs (Middle and High School) worked together this year on Amnesty International’s "Write for Rights Campaign".
This is the organization's largest annual letter writing campaign where people around the world write letters on behalf of individuals who need urgent help. Through the power of collective grassroots action, these letters help convince government officials to free individuals unjustly imprisoned, and to seek justice for human rights abuses.
Club members used the collaboratory to invite their peers to learn more and write letters of their own. Overall, AGCS students wrote 370 letters; a great contribution to the 16,794 letters that were written in total. For more information about the 10 individuals we are trying to help this year, visit the Write for Rights website.
