Meals in School and Grab & Go Meals
2020-2021 School Year
The USDA has extended the waiver that allows complimentary meals for all students 18 and under. It is no longer necessary to pre-order school breakfast and lunch. We hope you will utilize this food service program, as a nutritious and healthy breakfast and lunch is a vital part of each school day.
Hybrid students have the option to receive breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria on the days they attend. Daily, students at both campuses are invited to pick up a Grab & Go Breakfast selections, including bagels, cereal, pancakes, muffins, fresh fruit, and fruit juice. Visit our Lunch Menus page for monthly Early Learning Center and State Road Campus menus.
In addition, we provided our Grab & Go Meals at the State Road Campus throughout the school year for the days your student is not in school. The USDA asks that duplicate meals not be obtained (eating a meal in school AND receiving Grab & Go meals for the same day.) You do not need to be enrolled at AGCS to participate in the Grab and Go Program.
Thank you for participating in our curbside Grab and Go meal program. We know this has been a challenging time for all, and it was our pleasure to serve our community as resilient and caring as our AGCS family.
Please see the Grab & Go Summer Meals Announcement for locations where you may participate in a summer Grab & Go meal program.
Please direct any questions to Leona Bankoski, Food Service Manager, email@example.com or 484-667-5000, ext 313.
PA Pandemic Nutrition Relief
As part of the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, funding for Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) has been extended through June 2021. Through P-EBT, eligible school children receive temporary emergency nutrition benefits via EBT cards to purchase food outside of school. The Department of Human Services (DHS) is working with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to identify eligible children and issue P-EBT tentatively in late May. More information can be found on the DHS P-EBT Guide Webpage.
The PDE has requested all Parent/Family/Public Inquires be directed to the DHS Customer Service Line: 484-363-2137.
