To adequately plan for administering the 2021 state assessments (PSSA and Keystone) AGCS has assigned each student specific testing dates based on their learning cohort. Parents can find this information within the ParentPortal under "State Testing 2021".
There are two options for non-participation (opt-out) which are indicated below:
- Since the state has applied for a waiver to the 95% participation rate requirement, you may choose not to have your child(ren) participate (parent refusal);
- As in previous years, the state provides for the right of parents/guardians to excuse their child(ren) from state testing if, upon inspection of the testing materials, the assessment is in conflict with their religious beliefs.
Parents wishing to exercise their right to not have their child(ren) participate in the state assessment should use the below form(s).
