We just received notice that Alaina has been selected as a TOP 30 FINALIST!! On behalf of the entire AGCS Community, CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU for your hard work, Alaina!

Alaina Gassler (9th Grade) is one of only two finalists from Pennsylvania! Finalists were selected by a panel of distinguished scientists and engineers from over 2,300 applicants in 47 states, DC, and 2 US territories. Her advancement to the finalist level has also awarded AGCS with $1000 to be used to fund our STEM program.

Alaina will next compete in Washington, DC for the top award of $25,000 in late October after a rigorous competition that will test her abilities in STEM, critical thinking, communication, creativity and collaboration.

Broadcom MASTERS (Math, Applied Science, Technology and Engineering for Rising Stars), a program founded and produced by the Society for Science & the Public, seeks to inspire young scientists, engineers and innovators who will solve the grand challenges of the future.
From our September 5th Post:
Congratulations to Alaina Gassler (9th grade) for being named to this year’s
Broadcom MASTERS Top 300. Founded and produced by the Society for Science & the Public, #brcmMASTERS is the premier STEM competition for middle school students. Each application was reviewed and evaluated by distinguished scientists, engineers and educators. Nominees qualified to enter the Broadcom MASTERS by being among the top 10 percent of the participants at their Society-affiliated science fairs.

Alaina recognized that Ms. Sweeney was the Teacher who inspired and assisted her with her science fair project.

We're AGCS Proud of both Alaina and Ms. Sweeney!
