Welcome to AGCS!
We are an innovative, college-preparatory, public, tuition-free charter school with a small, neighborhood feel. Ours is a nurturing environment, where every child is well known and cared for by our staff. We focus on your child as a whole - offering an academically rigorous curriculum with differentiated learning opportunities for each student, combined with social-emotional well-being programs for strong character development. AGCS is so much more than an outstanding education for your child - we're family.
Opened in 2002, AGCS educates children in Kindergarten through 12th grade. We have two campuses in Chester County, Pennsylvania: our Main Campus for grades 4-12 is located in the small town of West Grove and our Early Learning Center for K-3rd grade is nearby in Kemblesville, Pennsylvania. AGCS is independent of the district and is governed by its own Board of Trustees, who are held directly accountable for the goals outlined in our charter.

Belonging is the foundation for meaningful learning. You Belong serves as a daily promise that your child is seen, valued, and essential to our community. From our youngest kindergarteners taking their first steps in a classroom to our high school seniors preparing to leap into the future, every individual brings a unique story, perspective, and set of strengths. You Belong means that no one has to change who they are to fit in; our diversity is precisely what makes our school community whole, vibrant, and strong.
Throughout this school year, You Belong is an active practice that shapes how we interact in classrooms, hallways, athletic fields, and activities. It calls on us to cultivate empathy, practice active inclusion, and build bridges across grade levels and backgrounds. For teachers and staff, it is a commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces where every student feels secure enough to ask big questions, take intellectual risks, and learn from mistakes. For students, it is an invitation to reach out to a peer who might feel isolated, celebrate each other's victories, and recognize that our differences enrich our shared environment.

Meet our Mascot
Our mascot is Timber the Wolf. At our Early Learning center, we have the younger, lighter-colored Timber and at the State Road Campus, Timber has grown into a dark brown and white wolf.
