Branding Guidelines and Logos
This usage guide is created to help us communicate consistently and clearly to our diverse audiences. The more unified we are in our communication and presentation, the more we reinforce our brand and identity. The more we reinforce our brand, the more successful we will be at building the community of AGCS (students, faculty, donors, etc), and the more we will impact the lives of our students.
Faculty and Staff
In order to use the following files and templates, please log into the Logos page of the Staff Intranet. If you are working with a vendor, you can download the appropriate files for that vendor, as vendors do not have access to files located on the Staff Intranet.

Brand Message
When creating written content for AGCS, ensure that it reflects our school’s mission and values. To help you, we’ve created a library of mission-oriented verbiage for you to draw from. Use the language as your resource for copywriting and storytelling about our school community.
Mission Statement
To inspire passion for lifelong learning, one student at a time.
Vision Statement
To be an accepting community that unlocks students' abilities to discover and reach their full potential.

- We educate students within the framework of a growth mindset
Logos
Primary Logos
We have three primary logos that are to be used for the majority of our outward- and inward-facing materials: our primary logo with "AG Charter Wolves" and our wolf mascot, our wolf mascot alone, and the AGCS shield with a wolf paw print. Any non-athletic, school-created flyer or other material must have at least one of these three logos:

Athletics Logos
We have several logos used for athletics apparel, jerseys, and other materials. These logos should not be used for non-athletic materials. The wolf (primary logo) may also be used for athletics. We have our athletic logo with each team's sport available to our staff.

Official Document Logo
The crest is used for official AGCS documents such as Business Office documents and diplomas.
The AGCS crest may not be used for non-official materials.

File Format Guidelines
If you are sending a logo directly to a vendor, ask them what file type they prefer.
- AI and EPS are interchangeable file types. Both can be opened using Adobe Illustrator. These are both vector files and are often preferred by printing companies. That means they are made up of mathematical values rather than pixels. As a result, they are infinitely expandable and will not become blurry when enlarged.
- JPG and PNG files are pixel-based, so if you expand the file beyond its original size, it will begin to become blurry. These formats are widely used for web-based purposes because the file sizes are smaller. PNG files can have transparent backgrounds, whereas JPG files cannot.
- SVG files are similar to JPG and PNG, but they are scalable without becoming blurry.
- You may not be able to open AI and EPS files if you do not have Adobe Illustrator downloaded to your computer. However, if you drag and drop these files into a document, they should appear in the same way that a JPG would appear.
Common Misuses

School Colors
The color standards that apply to the Avon Grove Charter School visual identity are detailed here. Color specifications must never be altered under any circumstances.
How To Use Our Colors
Different types of color codes are used for different media and purposes.
- CMYK is used for 4 color printing – use this color code if you are printing on our local printers or through our printing vendor
- RGB and HEX values are both used to render color on a screen. If your piece will be viewed digitally, you should use one of these color codes.
- A Pantone color is used to specify a custom ink. For this reason, it is typically an added cost. Custom inks can only be used when printing with specialty printers.
