Part of the Avon Grove Charter Community
Kemblesville is a small community located in rural southeastern Chester County, very close to the Mason-Dixon line separating the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland. It is an idyllic setting for a school, and since the late 1950s, it had been home to Kemblesville Elementary School (KES) which served the community until its closure in 2002. The history of neighborhood education in the Kemblesville area, however, dates back to the famous Kemblesville Academy established in the 1750s.
In September 2008, AGCS re-opened the Kemblesville Elementary School building as the "Kemblesville Early Learning Center" and reestablished a proud educational tradition in this picturesque little village. The opening of this new and very well-appointed school isa very eloquent testament to the ongoing viability of community education and the power of small communities to create educational alternatives that meet the needs of our youngest learners.
Occasionally, openings will become available for enrollment in this unique and intimate educational setting. If you believe your child is suited to the "charter"environment, mail or fax us an application.
